Project Description: This project is an upgrade of a core bridge on a Whitcomb County road. It involves structural reinforcement and functional enhancement of the existing upper-bearing steel truss bridge (approximately 350 tons of steel): 1. Steel Structure Modification: Thorough rust removal was performed on the original truss’s Q345 steel arch ribs and web members. 28 aged bolted joints were replaced, and 12 sets of weathering steel web members were added to supplement structural support. 2. Component Treatment: Prefabricated Q355 weathering steel components (matching the original truss specifications) were used. After anti-corrosion primer treatment, they were hoisted and assembled on-site. High-strength bolts and welding were used for double fixing at the joints. 3. Construction Support: Temporary supports were set up during operation to protect the stability of the truss structure. Simultaneously, the military green anti-corrosion topcoat was recoated onto the steel structure surface.
