El contratista general Walsh Construction construy\u00f3 la nueva superestructura de acero sobre pilares temporales inmediatamente aguas abajo del puente existente. La nueva estructura se coloc\u00f3 utilizando un sistema de control lateral a lo largo de los pilares hasta su ubicaci\u00f3n definitiva en los pilares existentes renovados, que se ampliaron y rehabilitaron antes del traslado. Este innovador plan de montaje redujo el coste del proyecto y limit\u00f3 los cierres del puente relacionados con la construcci\u00f3n a solo 10 d\u00edas.
